Yipee!

I found my US7 Circulars! While I love my birch needles that my sister gave me for my birthday last year (thanks, Kristin!), they just aren't the best for knitting sweaters. I couldn't find my circular needles when i started Basket Weave this weekend, but - I found them this morning. The crazy thing is that they were sitting on my desk all along. More evidence that I really need to do a better job of keeping things tidy, especially now that it is affecting my knitting. :) Well, the good news, is that I can transfer the sweater now and I don't have to bunch the beautiful yarn on the straight needles.

I've also been spending some time reading about Rhinebeck. I've made a pact with myself that I must go next year! It sounds like it was absolutely wonderful. I'm so jealous.

Update on Basket Weave

I got a lot of good knitting done last night. I finally really started the back of the Basket Weave for Larry. I finished the 2 in K2P2 rib and one 12 row repeat. It's going pretty quickly. I'm using my birch straight needles 'cause I can't seem to find my US7 circulars. I just saw them earlier this week, but they are missing right now.

Speaking of needles, I really hope that I get my Denise Interchangeables for my birthday. If I don't, I'll probably get money from my in-laws so it might go toward a set of interchangeables. I've been putting off the French Market bag until I get them. I also really want to make a Booga Bag, but want to wait until I get new needles.

Some WIP's

Thought I would share some WIP photos (Click on the thumbnails for the pix).

One sock is finished. The knitting has been done for over a month, but I just hadn't had a chance to graft the toe. I finally figured out how, thanks to the instructions that I found on Knitty

Here's the first of the sweaters that I'm knitting for my niece.

And, the first swatch for Larry's Basketweave, which I'm doing as part of the Basketweave Knit-Along. I'm working on the other swatch since the gauge is off one this one.

I am also working on my other niece's christmas sweater, but forgot to take a picture. I'll post it later. The pattern for both is from joann and it is called "Color me Lovely". I'm not really happy with it, but I bought the yarn and I'm almost finished with the body, so I must keep going.
